Shoreline Boom

Type: Inter-Tidal Boom
Primary Use: Shoreline

Use: Protection of shorelines from offshore spills. Containment of shallow shoreline spills. Containment of marsh spills to prevent entering coastal water. Preventing oil from entering or escaping tidal areas.

Description: This inflatable containment boom was designed with a water ballast chamber to provide protection for tidal and shallow water applications. The water ballast chamber seals effectively to sand or mud. The boom will function in its floating state as a conventional oil containment boom. As the tide ebbs, the water chamber will settle on the bottom and prevent oil from escaping with the tide or entering the tidal zone. It is packaged in self-contained aluminum boxes of 500 feet of boom. Best deployed at low tide with air chamber inflated and water chamber empty because once the water chamber is filled it cannot be moved unless its floating. Comes with air and water inflators, fuel can, repair kit, anchors and rope.
