Use: Rapid response oil skimming vessel.
Description: A purpose-built skimming vessel designed to operate in the shallow near-shore environment and the moderate offshore area. Twin outriggers and skimming booms divert oil through the rear hull doors and into troughs built into the hull where it contacts twin 2 chain bristle skimming devices. Oil is scraped off the bristles and flows into twin two-barrel sumps. When the sumps are full the oil flows into the storage tank. Water exits the hull through the bow doors. Any oil that is not skimmed is diverted back through the system. The submersible offloading pump can pump out the cargo tank in 30 minutes. The vessel is fully equipped with navigation and communication equipment.
