Description: A purpose-built skimming vessel designed to operate in the shallow near-shore environment and the close-in to moderate offshore area. A single outrigger and skimming boom combination diverts oil through a door and into a trough built into the hull where it contacts a 3 chain bristle skimming device. Oil is scraped off the bristles and flows into the storage tank. Water exits the hull through a second door. Any oil that is not skimmed is diverted back through the system. The submersible offloading pump can pump out the cargo tank in less than 30 minutes. The skimming vessel is 37’ and is fully equipped with navigation and communication equipment.
